A Celebration of Life ....
My free spirited girl since the beginning. Nikki was born here at Snow Pack. Her parents are Rya and Trigger. Half sister to McKinley. Granddaughter of Uzi.

Nikki was born Feb 19, 2022, just shy of 4 yrs old.
Though Nikki had a short life, she did have a full life of endless adventure. She traveled to several states, played on the Moab trails, and ran the sand hills of the Great Sand Dunes. She loved the water more than anything. She loved splashing water and fetching her Ducky. She was kind to every person and dog she ever met.

She always enjoyed hitting the trails and going 4 wheeling. She had many adventures with her bestie Hana ( the newfie ). They shared so many fun times together. I think the Great Sand Dunes were their favorite place.

At home, she was the peacekeeper in the pack. She was respected and loved by all the dogs. She got along with everyone. She also loved the puppies. She was a fantastic mom and loved everyone else's pups too. She loved jumping in and out of her water trough, fetching her ball and just being with us. Her besties in the pack were Sahara, McKinley and Kimber.

Nikki, truly special in so many ways. She will be deeply missed. She put up a good fight. Through the help of natural supplements, we were able to give her an extra month. We took full advantage of this last month with her and will have memories to treasure. She knew she was sick and did her best to comfort us during this devastating time. That was Nikki.

IF I had this month to do over, I would not change anything. I am so very thankful that we were able to boost her health enough to give her some quality time before leaving us.

** Nikki's cancer - hemangiosarcoma. This is a very nasty aggressive terminal cancer of the blood vessels. The vet recommended immediate surgery but she did not have good odds of surviving the surgery and if she did, it would only extend her life a few months which would have been spent healing from the surgery. I chose not to do this. I wanted Nikki to be home with her family and pack. I knew I could treat her naturally and give her a few improved weeks. I felt this was much better than having her away from home, in a vet hospital away from all that she knows. Its causes are environmental. Though we raise our animals as natural as possible, she still got sick. I have no doubt this has to do with the vaccines, most likely rabies. She is the only one vaxxed.

Nikki's cancer has spread throughout. She is not in a lot of pain but does have some discomfort and is very weak. She has stopped eating. We have made the very difficult decision to end this battle. She will only continue to get worse each day from here. We do not want her to suffer or struggle and choose to give her some dignity.
